We’re getting closer to the end of the school year! This week’s senior spotlight is Destinee Mahlmeister.  Destinee likes to draw.  She actually said that it was her favorite hobby.  Destinee also enjoys reading in her free time.  Her favorite class that she has taken this year is journalism because, “it is pretty fun.”  Journalism might be her favorite class this year but her favorite class of all time has been art.  Not a shocker since she enjoys drawing so much!

Destinee is involved in Drama Club, Art Club, Pay it Forward, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Track.

Destinee says that her best memory from PHS has been her first ever Drama Club production.  Unfortunately, the after party after one of the plays she acted in ended in a trip to the ER after running into a bar and busting her head open… that was one of her worst school memories.

Her plans after high school include working for two years and then going off to art college in Canada.  Her advice for the underclassmen is, “it may get tough and you may fail but if you keep trying your hardest you can always get back up and keep going.”

Good luck on whatever may come in your future, Destinee!
