Sneak Peek at PHS Drama Club’s Spring Show

Katie Lanham, Editor

This year, the spring play is all princesses and fairy tales…with a twist! Late Night With Snow White, by Lavinia Roberts, is not your average damsel-in-distress princess production. It features talk show host, Snow White (played by Ahlya Abel), the ever organized and reliable stage manager, Cinderella (played by Shara Coffman), valiant Prince Charming (played by the reluctant Gavin Postlewaite), and the fairest of them all, The Evil Quee–…wait, that’s not right… The most fashiona— no, that’s not it either. The worst of the worst, The Evil Queen (played by Katie Lanham). You really have to watch that one, she’s tricky. Krescene Holscher plays our pun filled Rapunzel.

This really is an awesome first play for a lot of people, because there are also quite a few non-speaking parts, and parts with 3 lines or less. Those parts are going to make the play infinitely more fun to watch. It’s also a great last play, letting several seniors go out with a bang, including Gavin P., Katie L., Shyan D., Krescene H., and Makinley B.

This play also features PHS Drama Club’s first (small) musical numbers in quite a few years. Some of those parts that don’t have lines will hopefully be featured in dance numbers, (choreographed by Makinley Bonesteel).

The show is still in the earliest stages of production, but the Drama Club is confident that it will be ready by opening night, which is Saturday, April 23rd. The show onĀ  Saturday will begin at 7:00 pm, and the show the following day will begin at 2:00 pm. Find a cast member for more information. Break a leg!
