As the weather is warming up and track season is about to start, I wanted to do a follow up of our HPHS track team. Aidyn Piper, Callum Roeder, Cole Tingley, Elliott Meadows, Jack Hawkins, Kaden McCormack, and Travis Rinard will compete for the boys. Zoey Rinesmith, Morgan Knoblett and Destiny Malmeister will compete for the woman. There’s a mix of shot and disk throwers, and a lot will be running on the track and maybe jumping a bit. Mr. Anderson, the track coach, commented on the first two weeks of training, “It has shown a core of kids that have really worked hard and have really been dedicated. They look forward to getting out on the track if the weather warms up and start really improving.” They are still accepting new members. If you aren’t busy after school come talk to Mr. Anderson about getting started in track.

Their first track meet is March 30 in Flora. They will have 12 regular season meets, then sectionals on May 12 for the girls and May 19 for the boys.
