The masks at both the high school and grade school for all the students and teacher the masks are recommended but not mandated. Everyone has their own reason to wear their masks. If they still have one on in school, it doesn’t mean that other kids get to bully them or make fun of them for it.

There are 3 levels of mitigation. Every Friday the school will monitor how the cases are for the total number of students. If you ride the bus, you still have to wear a mask no matter what.

The first level is minimal transmission. That means that the masks are recommended for all per CDC, and the metric threshold has to be less than 5% internal positively rate.

The second level is moderate transmission. This will mandate and/or targeted use of situational masking, and the threshold for this level will have to be 5% to 8% for positive rates or confirmed outbreaks.

Then the 3rd and final level will make all masks mandated for everything again, and the threshold will be 8% and beyond with positive rates.
