Yesterday, Wednesday, February 13 the OPH boys’ basketball team faced off against Eminence, Indiana. This will be the first time our OPH basketball team has faced this team, so of course it was a much-anticipated game. The starters for the game were Rider Lawhorn, Hayden Johnson, Gary Higginbotham, Tucker Pruit, and Max Lewis. The OPH fought a hard battle, losing the majority of the game. Our OPH team ended at halftime with a new season low of 14 points. They really had to work hard the second half of the game, but the real comeback came in the 4th quarter. The game ended with a final score of 45-42, with the OPH squeezing out the win. The starting small forward, Gary, for the OPH boys’ basketball team reached his 1000 career points milestone.  Make sure to keep up with the OPH boys basketball team as much as possible, because their regionals begin as soon as next Saturday, February 19th.
