The OPH Boys basketball team just recently played Dietrich for both JV and Varsity at Oblong High School gym on Friday night at 6 pm.  Unfortunately, both OPH teams lost. The JV score was not close at all, but the Varsity game score was close, ending with a score of 47-38. Both teams gave their all with everything in their hearts for the team. The biggest flaw of the game was that Dietrich’s defense was stopping our boys from scoring while Dietrich’s most valuable player kept scoring, never missing a shot. In the beginning of the game the boys were in the lead, but not by much.  The same thing was happening in the 1st quarter and 3rd quarter. When it hit half time, the score was 20-20.  It was a dog fight for a while, but then eventually the opposite team pulled through, and Dietrich ending up winning the ball game.  If you asked most fans they would tell you that it was a very intense game to watch.
