On Monday night the OPH boys basketball team played Lawrenceville at Hutsonville. The Fresh/Soph game at 5:30 started things out for a long night of basketball. It resulted in a pretty comfortable victory over Lawrenceville. The JV game proceeded after. Max Lewis, Trevon Webster, Callum Roder, Graydon Kincaid, and Devin Laywer started things out for them. They played good defense but too many mistakes on the offensive end kept them just of out reach to win. The final score was . Then it was time for the varsity to play. Tucker Pruitt, Gary Higginbotham, Max Lewis, Gavin Postlewaite, and Hayden Johnson started. OPH came out firing, quickly acquiring the lead and holding it until towards the end of  the second quarter. The score at halftime was 22-24.  After half we hung with them for a little bit, but we got tired on defense and started getting out-rebounded by the bigger bodies they had. The final score was . Overall it was still a good effort game and nothing to hang our heads about. The energy from the crowd was also very good.
