Student Senate Canned Food Drive Competition

The senior’s canned food progress

The Student Senate of Palestine High School are having a canned food drive. The canned food drive has started, and it ends on Thursday the sixteenth.

Not only is this drive beneficial for the Palestine Food Pantry, it’s also a chance to earn your class bragging rights. The drive is yet another war between the classes, and historically the senior classes dominate those competitions. Bragging rights may not be enough to motivate some, but there’s also a mystery prize from Mr. Will for the winners of the competition.

The Rules:

  • Bring in cans of food
  • Put them underneath your class label in the main hallway
  • That’s it. That’s all there is to it.

The can food drive would really get a lot of cans for the food pantry, so all of us at the high school would be very happy if both students and parents collected cans for students to donate to the school for the food drive.

Any canned food will work as long as you can send some, even if it’s just one can, to donate for the drive. If you can try to bring in cans of food then it would be great, for yourself, for your class, and for your community.
