The Robinson Police Department and Crawford County Sheriff’s Department joined with the Illinois Department of Transportation and the Illinois State Police to remind motorists to Click It or Ticket and Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over during the Thanksgiving holiday. This is highlighting the thanksgiving holiday to remind people to make sure they wear their seat belts, but it doesnt have to be a holiday for you to do the right thing. Remember to always wear your seat belts even if it isnt a special occasion. Fines for not wearing your seat belt start at $25, but it may vary depending on court costs, and the number of violations you broke. If you have a child in the vehicle with you, and you failed to put their seat belt on them, then the fine is $75 for your first offense, and $200 for your second offense.
