Hunters! It’s the Deer Down Raffle!

Katie Lanham, Editor

All eligible deer hunters are welcomed to participate in the Deer Down Raffle this year, and the winner will receive a large prize basket of goodies from local businesses, Superintendent Sisil and local families. The goal seems to be promoting safe, legal hunting by PHS students.

The rules are pretty simple:

  1. All harvested deer must be legally confirmed through the state in the students’ name, not the parents.
  2. Deer must be whitetail during all general hunting seasons (October 2021 through January, 2022)
  3. All entries must be submitted by the student or their parent/guardian.
  4. Each harvest may be submitted. Multiple submissions are allowed, with a limit of four per student.
  5. To enter, the form must be submitted along with a photo of the student with their state recognized harvest.

The winner will be drawn on February 1st at PGS by PGS young hunter advocate/PGS Staff, Sierra Redman. It costs nothing to enter, just the time to fill in the form. A new form is needed for every entry, and people needing entry forms should see Mr. Will.
