Keisha Wiseman, Contributor

The movie Cry Macho is actually based on a book called Cry Macho. The main character is Clint Eastwood, known as Mike Milo in the movie. He is known for being a former rodeo star and horse breeder who takes a job from an ex-boss (Howard (Dwight Yoakam) to bring the man’s young son (Rafo) home and away from his alcoholic mom (Leta). But crossing rural Mexico on their way back to Texas, takes them on a journey that they were not expecting, and during this time Mike teaches the boy what it means to be a good man.

The director of this movie is Clint Eastwood. The stars are Clint Eastwood, Eduardo Minett, Natalia Traven, Dwight Yoakam, Horacio García Rojas, and Fernanda Urrejola. This is a PG-13 rated movie that lasts 1 hour and 44 minutes.

If you like Western/Drama then you will probably like this movie.

My experience while going to watch Cry Macho was a very good experience. I took Kieran Jenkins with me. We read through the description before we went, and the description was very intriguing. When we first got there we each spent $7 dollars on one ticket, and then we went and sat down. The movie started slowly, but became more interesting when Mike goes to save Rafo from his drunk mom to take him back to Texas to live with his dad, and to have a better life, without his mother. Later in the movie more conflict took place, and it had us wondering what was going to happen next time.

I would definitely recommend this movie for anyone who loves Western/Drama. This was such a great movie, and I am so glad Kieran and I went to see it together.
