It is that time of year again — you can smell the fresh cut grass, hear the birds chirping, and feel the sun beating down on your back.  Ladies and gentlemen, it’s the start of baseball season, America’s pastime.  The 2020 baseball season for the Hutsonville-Palestine tigers is already been underway with practices starting last Monday. This year’s team has a total of 16 players.  Having lost just 4 seniors from last year, the team has many returning players which is a positive thing for the team.  The starting defensive positions look like Beard as catcher, Griffin at first base, Cooper on second base, Newlin as shortstop, Higginbotham at third base, Metzger in left field,  Burkett at center field,  and Lawhorn in right field. The Tigers have a bright season in front of them. The first game kicks off March 17 @ Robinson at 4:30.  GOOD LUCK!
