Nascar Wreck
February 19, 2020
This past Monday the Daytona 500 was held. This is the biggest event in Nascar. Nineteen years ago yesterday is the anniversary of a tragic day for one of the biggest names in Nascar history; it was the day Dale Earnhart Sr. wrecked his car into the embankment on one of the turns in the Daytona 500 and passed away in a fiery car crash. This past Monday, on the victory lap of the 500, Ryan Newman was hit and sent flying through the air. It took the rescue team 2 hours to cut Newman out of his car and he was sent to the hospital in critical condition. The latest news on Ryan was yesterday; hospital officials said he was awake and feeling fine. Prayers go out to him and his family that he makes a quick recovery.
