Dwayne Douglas Johnson, better known as The Rock, has had a huge impact in the movie industry and also in the wrestling industry. The beginning of his life was very rough. His dad taught him to be tough and work for what he wanted. When he was young he was very fit and very muscular. He played college football for 4 years at Miami for the Hurricanes. He was 6’5 and 290 pounds.
After college was over he had 7 dollars in his bank account and nobody to fall back on. Most people would have given up at that point, but he didn’t. He pursued a career in wrestling and in the movie scene. He gained most of his fame from wrestling. He started in 1996 for WWF and retired on August 3rd, 2019. But in wrestling it is never over. He has made numerous returns to WWE.
While he was wrestling he was also starring in movies like Be Cool, and Pain and Gain. His most recent movie is Jumanji 2. His most successful role in his career was in the movie Fast and Furious 7. So in the end he went from very poor to being a very successful millionaire because he never gave up.
