Red Ribbon Assembly
October 31, 2019
In honor of Red Ribbon Week, today we were lucky enough to hear a story from Matthew Seals who fought drug addiction and is celebrating two year of sobriety next month. Matthew struggled with a meth problem for 19 years. Sadly, he dropped out of school, and was having trouble stopping the the addiction. Matthew had a rough life, but he persevered, and now is doing better than what he was 2 years ago. His story was powerful, and tells us that a person can make it through stuff if they are willing to try and have faith. After we heard the story from Matthew, some students were chosen to put on googles and drive a cart to simulate drunk driving. Red Ribbon Week continues this week.
