September 17, 2019
The OPH football team faced off against the Oakwood Comets in Palestine last Friday for the PHS homecoming game. The game started off rough with Oakwood running the score up two touchdowns before the end of the first quarter.
OPH seemed to not be able to find the endzone Friday night as the score was 84-0 Comets victory at the end of the game.
Two Palestine football players were injured in the game, which makes four injured Palestine players this year. Junior Owen Pittenger got a concussion when colliding with an opposing player. Also, Senior Levi Beard has a high ankle sprain in his right ankle from coming down on a play. Last Friday night, Junior Troy Metzger went down on the field and is out for a while needing surgery on his ACL, while Junior Piper Griffin came out of last Fridays game with a tweaked ankle.
The OPH football team will be going against Watseka at the Oblong field for their homecoming game this Friday at 7 p.m.
