2019 Miss Labor Day Pageant

On Sunday, September 1, the 4th Annual Miss Labor Day Pageant was held at the pavilion on Main Street during the Labor Day activities. The premise of the pageant is to choose a winner based on her answer to questions about personality, current events, and other subjects to promote problem solving in today’s society. The grand prize is a $1,500 scholarship and a tiara for the queen and a $500 scholarship for the runner up. The contestants this year were Brianna King, Abbey McCord, Kendra Biggs, Lindsey Ryan, Marissa Reed, Kaleigh Walin, Leslie Merideth, Marissa Reed, Kimberly Hamersley, Korie Calvert, Sabrina Markwell, and Charlee Stewart. The former Queen, Mary Ann Catt, had a send off before the new queen was announced. The 2019 Miss Labor Day winner is Charlee Stewart, and the runner up was Kimberly Hamersley. This has been another successful for the pageant with many intelligent women in it this year.
