Friday night was the first game of the season for the second year OPH football team. OPH kicked off the season playing the Macon Meridian Hawks at the Oblong football field. It was a very physical game between the two teams.  OPH had a rough first start with both the offense and defense but that is very well expected with a young team.

Although OPH was defeated 60-8 by the Hawks, the team showed promise for the first game of the season. OPH will be back in action next week on September 6th versus Oak Ridge in Oblong. 

Senior Levi Beard said, “it was a very tough loss but the team is ready to get back out there and put in some work before facing off in their next game.”
