Baseball Player: Dallas Kidwell
March 7, 2019
With spring right around the corner so is the baseball season at PHS!
Practice for the 2019 baseball season started February 25 and for the lone senior on the team, Dallas Kidwell, it’s bittersweet. This will be his last year to play the game since he does not plan to play in college.
Dallas has played baseball since he was 4 years old, playing T-ball in Oblong.Dallas never really had a specific reason for starting to playing, but he saw all the other kids playing it and he wanted to play, plus it looked really fun.
After T- ball, Dallas made his way up to Little League, then on to Rookie, Minor League, Major League and then finally High school. He has moved around a little but never played baseball anywhere else.
Dallas says that his favorite moment in baseball was when he was in the 4th grade and he got the game ball for doing so well in the game.
Dallas’s position is in the outfield, catching pop flies and getting the batters out. Dallas said, “ I like that baseball is just as much an individual sport as it is a team sport.”
The team has their first game on March 12th at the Robinson ball diamond.
