This week’s senior spotlight is Myka Messinger. Myka is an outgoing person and someone you can trust. She is in involved in basketball and she wants to play for EIU when she gets there.  Myka plans on going to Olney Central College to get her basics then to go to EIU for 4 years and after that to medical school.

I asked her how her senior year was going and she told me that her senior year was easy so far because of all her classes and she has gotten used to all the teachers and knows how to handle drama. I had asked her what memory in high school she would never forget and she said, “ I will never forget the people in this school who are always there for me when I need a friend or just someone to talk to.”

When I asked her what her advice was to the incoming freshman she says, “Always do your homework no matter how bad you want to go off and play video games or watch YouTube videos.” After high school she is most excited about following her dreams and and conquering her future life. I asked her what high school has taught her and she said, “ High school taught me not to just stand there and watch people get bullied, but to take action and tell a teacher.”
