Anthony Edwards wants to become unstoppable. He has trained harder than most during the offseason. Even for being the best shooting guard in the league. He feels he hasn’t gotten to the point of being great. “All I want them to say is we couldn’t guard him,” Edwards said. “ We. Could. Not. Guard. Shawty.”
Edwards has already led his team to two conference finals. Which is very hard to do. He wants to become great to make not only him better but his team. This is not a selfish pursuit, looking at the league now , super teams are being built smarter and smarter. Edwards just wants to keep up with them and eventually beat them. The team is only as good as the star in it. The way Edwards sees it, he hasn’t been good enough in the last two conference finals. The acknowledgment of not being good enough is a sign of growth. If he gets better and gets truly unstoppable that gives him the best chance to help his team reach heights it has never reached. In his eyes he hasn’t felt unstoppable since he was young.
Anthony Edwards is on a generational run with his skill and work ethic. He wants to be better than everyone in the league and he is not scared to say it. Edwards is only 24 years old and has time to make himself the best. Do you think he will do it? Only time will tell.
