The Chicago Bandits Softball team is a former national pro fastpitch team that was relaunched in the athletes unlimited league. The athletes unlimited is a women’s professional sports organization that features leagues in softball, volleyball, and basketball. The league uses an innovative model where athletes are owners, teams change weekly based on player performance on a points-based leaderboard, and players have a say in league decisions. The Bandits also played in the NPF National Pro Fastpitch from 2005 until 2019. They won the championship four times but then the original franchise shut down in 2021.
The Head coach is Stacey Nuveman – Deniz, the General manager is Jenny Dalton-Hill, and assistant coaches Courtney Martinez, Grace French, and Michael Lotief. Their players are Jennie Finch, Vicky Galindo, Samantha Findly, Brittany Cervantes, Jordan Roberts, Sydney Mckinney, Delanie Wisz, Skylar Wallace, and Jenna Grim. Their team is also known for indicating good chemistry and teamwork among each other. While there is no single public source detailing how they act toward each other day to day, their on field success, championship wins, and reputation as a competitive team shows that they work well together and respect each other.
For the 2025 season the Bandits are competing in the athletes unlimited softball league which is different from their previous national pro fastpitch team. The season includes a mix of games played in Chicago at the parkway bank sports complex and other cities with a championship series at the end of July. They previously won three NPF championships. Most of their key players were very athletic and involved in something else before they joined the team. Monica Abott and Jennie Finch were Olympians.
