Chevy and GMC both made square bodies from 1973 to 1987. These trucks are very cool and hard to find anymore.

The motors and transmissions also varied in sizes and powers, some of the motors that came in these are the 305, 350 as your small blocks and the 454 as one of the big blocks, there’s a few more they offered but those are the most popular. As for the transmissions there are also multiple that were offered, a few being the 700r4, th350, the th400, and a few more.

These trucks today are often rusted out and some are even being junked because they don’t run and are in bad shape. But a lot of people are buying these and fixing them back up, repairing all the rust spots, dents and whatever other cosmetics it may need, then getting a fresh paint job. People will often get into the mechanical part of it too and hop up the motor and get it running and sounding good. Once these trucks are fixed up and running good, not only do they look amazing, they also go for a lot if you find the right buyer.
