Washing your truck is a very important part to keeping it in good shape and looking good. Washing a truck doesn’t take too long if you know what you’re doing, it can be a quick easy process. But some don’t know how to properly wash a vehicle and it does more harm than good. So it’s important to know how to properly do it for top tier results in a time efficient way.
First of all you want to spray down the vehicle real good, then start on the wheels, tires and wheel wells. I like to use Meguiars Wheel Cleaner. It works great and suds up nicely. After you get all the wheels cleaned up, then get a bucket, pour some soap in the bottom, then fill with hot water about halfway full. I use Meguiar’s ultimate wash and wax. After I get a bug sponge to go with the shampooed water and go to the front of the truck and start cleaning. When the front is done I like to go up to the hood, windshield, back glass, then the roof and get that out of the way. Once you get all that, you want to start back at the front on the fender then work your way to the bed, then same for the opposite side. Once you finish those then you want to get the tailgate. That should finish your cleaning process so then we have to dry it. I like to use a squeegee and dry the vehicle in the same order it was washed in. After it’s good and dry I like to use tire shine on the tires and sometimes wax the body of it, so those are optional depending on what you want to do.
After that you shouldn’t have any excuse for not having a clean truck. Once you do this your truck will be ready for the show, looking brand new again!
