Trap Shootout at 3rd annual Cumberland shoot

With the sun shining and the wind calm, the Palestine Trap Team made its way to Cumberland for the 3rd annual Cumberland shoot over by Greenup. The trap team arrived at the Cumberland County Sportsman by Greenup around 8 am for signups, and then all the students in the team waited for 10:00 am, when the shoot would officially start.

As the shoots went on, the Palestine squad 1 was running in the top 3 all the way until near the end of the shoot; they then placed 5th. Palestine squad 2 placed 16th out of 17 in this tournament. Out of 10 schools Palestine overall placed 8th. The leaderboard runners of the individual mens bracket was Chance from Cumberland in 1st, Nathan from Sullivan in 2nd, and Samuel Rains from Robinson, shooting for Palestine in 3rd. Sitting in 4th and 5th place was Shawn Divine from Palestine in 4th, and Cody from T-Town in 5th. For 2nd place and 3rd place to have a winner there was a 3-way tie between Sam, Shawn, and Nathan.

This shoot was a successful shoot for Palestine and allowed the new shooters this year to get an understanding of the competition side of the sport.
