Should school dress codes be strict? Should students be able to wear whatever they want to school?
I think that schools should have strict dress codes for students and anyone on staff at school. By strict, I mean students should wear something with appropriate writing on the shirts or hoodies they wear, and they shouldn’t wear cut-off shirts or anything of the sort. Guys shouldn’t cut-offs and girls should have to wear something that is covering their shoulders. I also believe that it is okay to wear casual clothes, and not always dressy. Maybe every once in a while everyone could dress nicer, but not all the time. Strict dress codes means girls need to wear something to a certain length — normally, fingertip length for shorts and dresses to a certain length as well. I think that students should be covered up so that they aren’t distracting. This isn’t really that difficult of a thing to do, if you think about it. I feel like it takes more time to find something that is distracting and not following the rules than it does to just put something casual on. In my opinion, having a strict dress code isn’t too hard to follow if you think about it.
