On Tuesday, March 18th the Mr. Plew came up with an idea with Mr. Blank. It was to have a 2v2 basketball tournament between the History of Sports 3rd hour class and 3rd hour PE class.

The idea was just to have a fun little project where everyone could participate. For the people who did not want to participate, Mr. Plew is having them do a project on a men’s college basketball team from any year and do research on one player from whatever team they choose. The teams were picked randomly and no one knew who their team was until the day that they started the tournament on Tuesday.

This was just a fun little thing put together instead of working on a worksheet or packet for the students in 3rd hour History of Sports. It got some students that have never really played any sports out there, and they are having a good time, so this was a good thing for everyone.

The tournament is a double elimination tournament, meaning a team would have to lose twice to be out.  The games go to 10 points, three pointers were worth 2 points, and two pointers were worth 1 point.
