On Thursday, March 13, the National Honor Society induction took place. This is a ceremony that welcomes new members into the organization. National Honor Society is a nationwide organization that recognizes high school students that promote scholarship, leadership, service, and character. The members must maintain a certain GPA, voluntarily contribute to the school or community without compensation, be good problem solvers, and demonstrate high standards. These qualities are all necessary to be inducted into the National Honor Society. The induction consisted of the existing members, all seniors, reading parts based on service, leadership, scholarship, and character. Then, the new members, all juniors, were pledged into the organization.
