On Wednesday, February 26th the OPH Boys basketball team traveled to Paris to play Lawrenceville.
The OPH boys went into this game feeling good, coming off a win in the first game of Regionals against Newton. The game started off rough, starting 14-5 with Lawrenceville in the lead. This led to OPH calling a timeout, trying to turn this back into a close ball game. When the timeout ended they went back onto the floor, but nothing changed which put them down even more, opening the score up through the first two quarters leading into halftime.
At halftime the score was 40-15 with Lawrenceville in the lead. In the locker room, OPH just talked about taking the care of the ball more and getting more rebounds, as well as having to outscore Lawrenceville to have a shot at winning this game. The second half started the same as how the first half started. With more and more turnovers and missed opportunities at the rebounds and making their shot, the OPH season came to an end with them as they lost their final game to Lawrenceville 79-31.
