The National Honor Society (NHS) stands as a beacon of intellectual achievement, leadership, service, and character. Founded in 1921 by Dr. Rynearson, NHS was created to recognize students who excel academically while demonstrating outstanding character and leadership.
Students in grades 10-12 who maintain a cumulative GPA of 85, a B average, or a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale are eligible for membership. The proud Pioneers who have earned this prestigious honor are Devin Lawyer, Daylen Beckes, Adriana Taylor, and Peyton Pittenger, all seniors who exemplify the values of NHS. Soon, new juniors will be chosen for membership.
NHS membership is more than just academic achievement; it celebrates well-rounded students who embody scholarship, service, leadership, and character. For over 100 years, NHS has provided schools with a values-based framework to inspire and recognize student excellence.
New members will be inducted on March 13th at 7:00 p.m. in the Palestine High School gymnasium.
Congratulations to our outstanding trailblazers. Your futures are bright, and your leadership will inspire those who will follow in your footsteps.
