The OPH Boys basketball team had their senior night at Hutsonville High School yesterday, February 20. They competed against Chrisman High School whose record is now 3-26. The JV game was a great start to the night. OPH took the win in JV.
In between games, the senior boys basketball, senior cheerleaders, and the senior Hutsonville Jazz Band members were all recognized. After everyone was annouced, the boys basketball team presented Coach Harry Marshal with a gift from the team. The cheerleaders also gifted flowers to their coaches.
The varsity game started off very rowdy and exciting. Callum Roeder hit the first 3 pointer of the game to start OPH off on a winning lead. After that first 3, there were many 3 pointers to follow to get the crowd very animated. From the beginning the game was very fun for everyone who was there. At halftime, the score was 58-29 with OPH in the lead. All of the senior boys had at least 2 points in their final home game. The end score ended up being 87-61.
Highlights from the game:
