OPH boys basketball traveled to Newton on Tuesday February 11th.
The boys JV started off slow but in the lead. As the game progressed, Newton started getting hot and making shots leading up to them being ahead at half time. The JV boys didn’t give up and kept fighting, but it just wasn’t enough, leading to another JV loss.
The OPH Varsity Boys’ starters were Riley Blank, Callum Roeder, Rowan Bailey, Trevan Webster, and Graydon Kincaid. The Varsity game was also a slow start, which led to OPH being ahead at the end of the first quarter, but once again, Newton led at half time. The boys didn’t stop fighting and kept getting close to getting the lead, but ultimately they fell short and ended up losing by 14 with the final score being 35-49.
