Haylea Bachelor is a senior at Palestine high school.
Her favorite high school experience is baking delicious treats in Mrs. Inboden’s class.
Her least favorite high school experience is having to come to school.
Haylea’s goals have not changed at all; she just wants to graduate.
Haylea says the biggest lesson she has learned from being in high school is, “Don’t be friends with people that put you down.”
In 10 years Haylea hopes she is not in school anymore.
Haylea’s advice for our upcoming freshman next year is, “Do your homework.”

Daylen Beckes is also a senior at Palestine High School.
Her favorite high school experience is eating lunch with her friends in Mrs. Inboden’s class.
Her least favorite high school experience is her freshman year all together.
Daylen’s biggest lesson she learn is that “it is okay to ask for help.”
Daylen’s freshman year she didn’t set any goals, but it’s her senior year and so she has so many different goals to better herself.
Within the next 10 years Daylen hopes she will graduate from pharmacy school and work in a place that makes her feel comfortable. She also hopes to have fun, yet still become successful.
Daylen’s advice to our upcoming freshman next year is, “Be open minded to try new things. Don’t do the bare minimum. Find your own path.” She also knows that this might sound cheesy but she says, “Don’t follow others; be a leader.”
