This year, the drama club will be having a Spring play. What play will they be putting on, you may be wondering. Well, wait no longer, my friend! I am here to give you details about the play and how auditions were conducted this week!
The play is a short one entitled The Emerald Heist by Israel Allen. It takes place on a dining car on a train. An expensive emerald ring is stolen by someone in the dining car! Who is the thief? Who would bring such an expensive ring onto a train? Will food be provided? These questions will be answered if you come watch!
The performance dates are currently set for April 26 & 27. Because this is dinner theater (meaning food will be provided for the audience), you must buy a ticket ahead of time. These tickets cost $15.00.
Now, as previously mentioned, auditions for the eight characters shown in the play took place this week. The auditions were run as follows:
Students signed up for one of two dates. They showed up to Mrs. Hyde’s classroom according to the date and time they signed up for. Then, everyone there read through a partial script as the characters they were auditioning for. Pretty easy and simple! I wish luck to all those who auditioned, I hope you get the part you want!
