This week’s sophomore spotlight is Katelyn Wilber. Katelyn’s goal for this year is to have her grades the best they can be so she can concentrate on a great future. Homecoming week is Katelyn’s favorite part of school. “I love participating in the powderpuff game,” she says. Katelyn plays travel softball and participates in basketball cheer. Katelyn also participates in FCA, Pay It Forward, and Science Club. In her free time she likes to spend time with her family and friends. She is always doing something with softball, whether it is practice, a tournament, or a college camp. Her plan for the future is to continue playing softball on a college scholarship while studying radiology and getting a degree to be a cardiovascular technologist. She said, “I hope one day to work in the heart cath lab and help implant pacemakers.” Her favorite teacher is Mr. Will. She said, “He makes his classes so much more fun and he is really easy-going.” Her favorite subject is math. She said, “I like solving problems and challenging myself.” Katelyn said, “My advice for the freshmen is to always try your hardest and stay ahead on your homework.”
