What makes you smile? For kids around the country, it’s Miles of Smiles, for children and teens who need their teeth cleaned, fluoride varnish, and sealants (if needed).

Miles of Smiles is a school based service that travels to schools all over the country free of charge for the school. Miles for Smiles is a private dental office on wheels! Their dental service concept is designed to break down barriers all while keeping children healthy. Their state-of-the-art mobile unit is fully equipped to offer quality dental care to students in a comfortable and familiar environment, keeping them in class and learning.

They have been making kids teeth happy and healthy since 1999, they started their foundation to help people feel more comfortable getting dental care and for children who don’t have accessible dental care. Since the program’s inception in 1999, over 36,000 people have received care, including 18,655 dental cleanings, 37,620 restored surfaces, 21,160 sealants and 19,023 fluoride applications. Each year, Miles of Smiles visits approximately 30 sites. In its 27 years of service, Miles of Smiles has witnessed a 36% decrease in dental disease, proving that the mobile unit is making a difference in the oral health of those they serve.

The goal is to make dental care accessible for everyone by eliminating barriers for parents, and they have successfully done that by providing kids across the country. We appreciate Miles Of Smiles for all of the hard work they do to bring confidence and health!
