OPH Boys Basketball played against Beecher City last Saturday, January 18th, at Oblong. JV was a roller coaster of emotions. The JV boys were up 15 at halftime and then Beecher City started pressing, which turned up their intensity and caused OPH to let the lead slip, nearly losing it altogether. The JV team only ended up winning by 3.
The starters for the Varsity game were Rowan Bailey, Callum Roeder, Riley Blank, Graydon Kincaid, and Trevan Webster. The Varsity game wasn’t as close as the JV, as OPH boys won by 26 points. The OPH boys outscored Beecher City in every quarter besides the 4th, with the points scored being Q1 13-9, Q2 19-18, Q3 27-5, Q4 8-9.
The leading scorer was Riley Blank with 25, followed up by Graydon with 11. Trevan Webster and Callum Roeder were next up with 10 each.
OPH won the game 67-41.
