The OPH boys basketball team played against the Red Hill Salukis yesterday, January 14th.
The JV team played first and it was a good and exciting game all the way to the end. The score was very close most of the game. Brock Noblitt got fouled at the 3 point line and made 3 free throws to send the game into overtime. The boys kept playing hard, not being down and gloomy that they had to play an OT after fighting so hard. Willis Strohm hit a pull up mid range to win the game in overtime.
Following the JV game, varsity was rowdy to play. From the start, OPH had a good lead against Red Hill. Red Hill tried their best to come back but Coach Marshal had a good game plan of running a triangle and 2 on Red Hills best players. The triangle and 2 OPH ran had Callum Roeder and Rowan Bailey were paired up against Red Hill’s best players and Graydon Kincaid, Riley Blank, and Trevan Webster were in a 3 man zone. OPH ended up winning 59-38.
OPH plays again Friday January 17th at LTC against Robinson for the shrine game.
