Usually, students don’t get out till May, but not for this senior who will be graduating early on December 18th. This senior, Preston Cooper, has gotten all school credits and has met the requirements to graduate before the end of the first semester of school.
The early graduate says to graduate early you have to do a couple of things. The first step is getting all your credits before your senior year, which can be done multiple ways, one being doing 2 English credits your junior year. The next step is sending a graduation request letter to the school board giving them reasons why you want to graduate early and what plans you have after high school.
Preston plans to start an online college program at Western Governors University after his early graduation. He wants to major in Information Technology(IT), earn his master’s degree, and enter the IT field. He plans to work at Hershey after his early graduation while he does his online college work.
Preston’s word of advice to students who want to graduate early is, “Get everything done ASAP and grind it out as early as you can so you can have an easy senior year and graduate early.”
