The OPH boys played their first basketball game yesterday against the Lawrenceville Indians. The starters were Riley Blank, Devin Lawyer, Rowan Bailey, Trevan Webster, and Graydon Kincaid. The head coach is Harry Marshall and he’s assisted by assistant coaches Ken Warner and Travis Blank.
Although OPH was only down by around 10 points after the second quarter, Lawrenceville ran away with the game after halftime, winning 71-32.
OPH players had a lot to say about the game but mostly agreed that they needed this game to get all the negative comments and plays out of the way, so they can improve and move on for the rest of the season.
Lawrenceville is currently 5-1 in their season, so they had more time to figure things out with the starting line-up and playing as a team. They wanted it more and were more ready than the boys in general.
