Leading up to the High School mock election, the Journalism class will be interviewing students to find out what their thoughts are on the issues being presented in the current election.
Our first interviewee is Bowen Ramsey.
Bowen’s stance on the current economic situation is that it’s terrible and that it is going to cause people to go homeless. He says this because he believes that with inflation, it is going to make bills more expensive and new adults will have problems being able to afford to move out of their parents’ home until they’re much older — maybe 25.
With America’s economic state in a slight hiccup, Bowen believes Donald Trump has the better plan to combat the inflation. According to Bowen, “giving out checks to people is only making the inflation worse.” Bowen noted that Trump has tackled inflation before and successfully lowered it, so he believes he will be able to do it again.
Concerning the current diplomatic state of the world with wars and catastrophe everywhere, Bowen says Trump’s past experience and diplomacy knowledge will allow him to solve a lot of problems, especially with North Korea and Russia.
