With perfect weather and no high winds, the Gordon Club shoot had a great turnout of the Palestine Trap team. With scores staying within 70s and 80s, good marksmanship is being taught to the shooters of the Trap team. With a regular ATA shoot only the individual’s score matters; it’s not a typical competitive shoot but more shooting against yourself and others on the ATA leaderboard.
Stay tuned on the Palestine Trap team as there is a competitive shoot happening in Martinsville this Saturday, September 14, where multiple teams will compete for 1st place. Competitive shoots consist of scoring as a team rather than individual shooters. While there is still a list for individual shooters, the main focus of the competitive shoots is team scores.
Hopefully the turnout for Saturday will yield high scores and high placements. If you are interested in watching these shoots take place, the shoot will be at the Round Grove Sportsman Club on Snake Trail Road in Martinsville, Illinois. The shoot will start at 9 a.m. and depending how many teams show, it can last all the way until 4:00 in the afternoon.
