How has being on the Staff of Pioneer Pages impacted you?
Being a part of the Pioneer Pages staff has helped me to develop more social skills and has made it easier for me to be able to write about certain topics. It has also helped guide me in the ways of proper writing and the way to properly get information and use said information without plagiarizing.
What advice do you have for upcoming Journalism students?
Do. Your. Research. Go out and talk to the people that your topic may be about or someone who knows the most about your topic. Do not be afraid to ask anyone questions. There is never a such thing as a dumb question when you aren’t sure what you’re doing.
What is your favorite high school memory?
In my freshman year, we had a rock, paper, scissors competition over Google Meet. This was done once or twice a week during WIN. It’s something I looked forward to through the weeks. Some students and teachers signed up to do it, but not everyone did or had to do it.
What do you plan to do after high school?
After I graduate, I plan to work all summer and then take my first two years of generals at LTC and then transfer up to Indiana State University.
