My time at Palestine High School will never be forgotten.
Coming into high school we ran into COVID. We had to wear masks, stay so far apart, and didn’t get to enjoy our days here. My class was always loud and outgoing, but not this year. We were tiny freshmen, and barely talked! I didn’t enjoy this part of high school. Going into sophomore year we started to become more like ourselves and COVID started to go away.
My best memories include most of the school dances, but especially sophomore and junior year homecoming. Sophomore year Homecoming was a relief just to be around everyone after COVID. It was so nice to just be hanging out with everyone and having a good time. Junior year Homecoming, one of my best friends Peio Lapiedra, was at PHS. Peio is from Spain and left at the end of my junior year. We all still miss him a lot!
Some other great memories are football cheer all 4 years of high school. Also all the Homecoming weeks– I think I might miss that the most!
Throughout high school, I have had the same friends, despite the small arguments teenage girls have. We all have so many memories together, and they definitely will not be forgotten. From counseling, to hanging out everyday, I will never forget a moment in between.
I have had too many good memories to name at PHS. My favorite thing to do is seeing my friends everyday. Most of them, I have been around my whole life. I am glad to be leaving and exploring more, but I will miss them. Thank you to all the teachers who have helped me succeed. I will never forget PHS, but I am glad to go explore more.
