As the school year starts to come to an end, awards night for the past school year is approaching. The seniors’ last day, unless they have to take finals, is on Tuesday, May 7th. That is also when the awards night is, the last awards night ever for the Seniors. As a senior myself, the last events of schooling are making everything hit home more than I expected.
Every awards night is hosted at the Palestine High School to have students from 9-12th grade be recognized for all of their academic achievements from the 2023-24 school year. It starts at 7 pm and goes until it is all done. There was an invite sent in the mail to your home if you are invited to be here to claim an award. Friends and family are, of course, welcome to come and support you in getting whatever award you are selected for. There will also be a small food table that has cookies, fruit, and water for refreshments afterward, so you won’t have to worry about starving or being thirsty 🙂
It is recommended that you dress up so that you look nice. Girls, you can wear a dress, heels, dress pants, blouses, and shoes that are a little bit nicer than everyday shoes. Guys, you could wear nice jeans, dress pants, collared shirts, and nice shoes. So make sure you dress in those clothing pieces whenever you come!
