How has being on the Staff of Pioneer Pages impacted you?

Being on the staff of Pioneer Pages has taught me many writing skills. I have learned how to write informative articles as well as entertaining articles. I have learned many new writing styles and I feel that I am more confident in my work now than I was before I took Journalism.

What advice do you have for upcoming Journalism students?

My advice to upcoming students is to keep up with the work! The articles seem like they are terrible and nobody wants to write them, but if you find ways to make them interesting it can be kind of fun. Be creative with your articles.

What is your favorite high school memory?

My favorite high school memory was all the dances and homecoming weeks. There are so many fun activities surrounding homecoming. A specific memory that I have is senior year jag day.

What do you plan to do after high school?

After high school I plan to attend Eastern Illinois University to major in Elementary Education.
