Junior Spotlight: Keirsten Bates

Grace Correll, Editor

Junior Keirsten Bates is this week’s Junior Spotlight. She really enjoys hanging out with friends and her boyfriend in her spare time. Keirsten also works at Maurice’s outside of school, she just recently started there and she says that she really enjoys it already! Besides school and work, she volunteers at the Crawford County Human Society, and she really enjoys this the most. It is not just volunteer work to her, it is her hobby. She hopes to grow up and someday become a K-9 cop and own her own K-9 dog!

Keirsten only has one more year of high school, and she says that she cannot wait to graduate and have a family and finally get a start on her future. She plans to attend LTC when she graduates for her generals, and after LTC she hopes to get a degree in criminal justice. After she gets her degree in that, she will eventually move on to train to become a K-9 unit officer and then get her dog.
