OPH track had their first outdoor meet on Tuesday March 19th at Red Hill. Teams attending were OPH, Red Hill, and Lawrencville.
The girls placed first as a team. Ilayna Sheets placed first in the 200 and second in the 100, Kielyn Wilson was first in the 100 hurdles and long jump, Isla Wirey was first in the mile, Valentine Kerstan was first in the 800, Daylen Beckes was first in discus and 5th in shot put,and the 4×2 relay placed first. Francesca Comindini was second in the 200 and long jump, Bailey Mitchell was second in shot out and third in discus. Emily Rachoy was second in discus and fourth in shot put. Abby Cheesman was third in the 800, Lobillia Daugherty was third in long jump and the 4×100 placed second.
In the boys meet, the team placed third behind Red Hill. Ryerson Beabout placed 5th in the 100m dash, while Elijah Estep and Ethan Newlin placed 6th and 7th respectively.
Ryerson Beabout also placed 3rd in the 200, while Kinsler Beabout placed 4th and Elijah Estep 5th.
Willis Strohm was 2nd in the 400, 4×100 relay placed second, 4×2 relay placed second, and Grant Wampler and Jack Hawkins were 1st and 2nd in shot put. Grant was also first in discus with Jack placing 4th. Will Callaway was 2nd in high jump, and tied for 4th in long jump with Ethan Newlin.
