Friday March 1st, 3 seniors went to speak about Dairyland Donkey Basketball. Zoey Beabout, Student Senate President, Briley Beabout, Student Senate Vice President, and Charlie Burkett, Student Senate Treasurer. This made us all a little nervous!
The 3 of us went to speak on Friday morning. We talked about how this is held at Palestine High School, March 11th. This is at 7pm.
We talked about who was nominated to kiss the donkey. Caleb Will, PHS high school principal. Jessica Sisil, PGS principal and CUSD 3 superintendent. Damien Tingley, a board member. Hillary McCrillis, PHS Alumni. Stacie Ogle, a community member. Phil Blank, OPH Golf coach. Zoey Beabout, homecoming queen. Jack Hawkins, PHS Valedictorian.
We also mentioned how anyone can vote for kiss the donkey. Palestine FRSB has voting buckets, along with both Palestine Grade School and Palestine High School.
Another thing talked about was purchasing tickets. You can go to Palestine CUSD #3 Facebook page and find the QR code. You can also find a student senate member to purchase. These will be $7 for advance tickets. It will be $10 for at the door tickets, if available.
This event has been promoted all around Palestine and Robinson. Student Senate officers also posted flyers on Monday, February 26th around Palestine and Robinson.
A special thank you is given out to Holly Inboden and Stewart Smith for putting this together. Student Senate appreciates them so much and all they do. Come support Donkey Basketball March 11th at 7pm and be sure to vote for who gets to kiss the donkey!
