You have probably heard the name buzzing around in the sports world, but do you know who she is? Caitlin Clark is a star basketball player for the Iowa Hawkeyes women’s basketball team. Caitlin Clark is the women’s basketball NCAA leading scorer in division 1 college sports. Caitlin is said to be one of the greatest players in women’s college basketball history. Caitlin was born in January 22,2002 in Des Moines Iowa. The 6 ft 155 pound point guard started playing basketball when she was just 5 years old. Caitlin also played volleyball, soccer, softball, tennis, and golf before putting all of her focus on basketball.
As just a freshman in high school, Caitlin averaged 15.3 points per game. Caitlin started all 4 of her high school years on the varsity girls basketball team at Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines. Her sophomore season she made a huge jump and averaged 27.1 points per game. On February 4, 2019, during her junior season, Clark scored 60 points in a 90–78 win against Mason City High School. Her 60-point game was the second-highest single-game point total in Iowa girls basketball history.
